I was wondering what people think of this idea. I am thinking of getting the Vostro 1400 with whatever the cheapest wireless card is then taking it out and adding the intel 4965 in the WLAN slot and the gigabyte GN-WI01GT into the WWAN slot. Then have the intel only turn on when im plugged in. The reason for this idea is cause I read that the gigabyte using the atheros chipset has really good range and battery usage but I still want A/N. The price of both together is only $83.30 total so its not that pricy. What do you guys think? Any suggestions?

Cool, so you don't see anything wrong with this idea?

Does anyone know if there the same or not? Cause they looked the same in the manual but I cannot find a picture of this part of the laptop or detailed information about it. Only a picture showing 3 antennas in the WLAN and 2 in the WWAN that looked the same.

I'm going to guess the antennas will be different for sure since WLAN and WWAN operate on separate frequencies, but my guess could always be wrong.

You should also open the machine up and see if the connector ends are the same for the WWAN and the WLAN...
