Okay so when I tested my m1530 a few weeks before christmas, I had a really good wireless connection. When I turned it on today, It isn't showing any connections. When I turned the computer on it said my wifi network didnt match so to reconfigure or something, so I hit yes. Now, I don't have any wireless connection so I had to plug it into my router. I'm not sure why this isn't working, I only used it once before today.

    Thanks

What kind of router/WAP are you using. Based on my experience (I am a network engineer) that the cheaper routers/WAP's need to be rebooted on occasion. When I was using Linksys, I usually had to reboot every week or two. Now I run nothing but Cisco and have not had to reboot anything.

I tried everest/Powerstrip etc and still had no success,so I went to Dell's website, select Dell Support/option #2 Support by product, click xps notebook, next screen will ask you to select model #,then click on system config info type in your service tag# loacted on the bottom of your laptop.
You will then have a detailed list of the components used to build your laptop, look fot the lcd panel and at the end of the description it should list the manufacturer.

Apparently I have a Samsung. I take it I'm probably not being paranoid about the grain. It is annoying, but not enough for me to return this. I just dont like all white pages when its noticable.

Thanks for the method, that worked! :]
