That's a bunch of hooey...and the US site doesn't have that AFAIK.

Personally, I'd give them less money now...get the T7200 and skip WiFi-N. Honestly, N is still "pre-N" and has some bugs...not to mention you won't notice the supposed extra bandwidth unless you are running an N network between two PCs at home that share a lot of data. Internet network rates are well within the bandwidth allowance of G networks.

i thought so lol, they are just trying it so that novices will buy the more expensive and exactly the same processor with a little more ghz!!
you have persuaded me to now go for the t7200 and the wireless g!
    Thanks

    one more thing or 2!
5400rpm or 7200rpm for a medium gamer, lots of internet browsing, lots of access to hdd also?
The next thing is i def want to get the Dell Wireless 350 Bluetooth + Dell Bluetooth 2.0 Stereo Headset - does anyone know if the headset is good (any owners or even any1 that has used it)?
    thanks

A 7200 RPM drive will be good for load up times on a computer. It will also help when loading up game files. If its not a massive cost and you can afford the upgrade, then it may be worth considering. Some 5400 RPM drives do perform well, but it depends on which manufacturer built the drive. Manufacturers such as Hitachi and Seagate have good performance 5400 RPM drives.

Generally speaking, a drive with a little more storage but slower RPMs will perform about the same...example:

    160GB@5400 ~~ 100GB@7200
    200GB@5400 ~~ 160GB@7200
    etc
    etc

So if you can get a little more storage, you'll get just as good of a speed boost but enjoy a few more GB.

nice, i think i will be going for the 5400 RPM 160GB from dell as the price for the 7200RPM on the m1710 is unjustifiable (it will cost an extra £110.00!) i can just upgrade the hdd later in the laptops life hopefully when the hybrid disks come out as they look neat!
    Thanks
