I just bought a 9300 with the intel builtin 2200 B/G wireless card. When i first turned it on i wasn't picking up a single and the wifi light wouldn't even go on. i decided it was dell crapware and promptly reformatted to a fresh os. reinstalled wireless and downloaded the most updated drivers for all the hardware. tried wireless again, but same thing. when i first enabled the wireless the light would go on, but quickly go off. everytime i would try to refresh my wireless connection it wouldn't find anything. i tried this at different routers with no luck. so iam wondering if anyone has suggestions? if worst comes to worst i will buy a pci card, but i dont want anything sticking out of my computer.

Yes, fn+f2 is to turn the wireless on/off.

It is possible that the wireless card isn't hooked up properly:

    http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/ins9300/sm/sullivap.htm#wp1009645

This gives you the steps on how to safely remove and replace you wireless card. After you do that, if the wireless network doesn't work, you can call dell for a replacement, and it should be free since you just got it. They'll send it to you usually in about 2 days.
