    Wireless driver faoled-dell inspiron 1720

    pc was mess,i reinstalled OS vista
    now i can't connect wirelessly..i have the messge 'windows can not find any network'"
    in device manager
    broadcom 802.11n network adapter-"the device can not start code 10"

    i also have 2 base system device with yellow exclamation "base system device" both code 28

    but i urgently need the broadcom wireless to work..

    and i have other questions,,this is my uncle's pc..ad since this pc was a mess..it may got virus,etc...
    now the pc came with 2 disk for reinstallation,media direct and the OS
    -media direct only format the HD right and make a partition if you want..
    -now the OS disk install a fresh clean copy..then why it didn't install correctly those drivers..

    now..in this scenario shouldn't be advisable to first wipe offf the hard drive first with something like dban or [email protected] get rid of everything and then install a fresh copy of the OS/

    you may have to download the drivers from Dells web site

    You will need at least the following.

    Chipset drivers
    lan Drivers
    Video Drivers
    Wireless drivers

    Dell usually ships a 3rd CD with drivers.

    use the Service tag number on the bottom of the laptop and it will get you the specific drivers for your laptop
