    Hi,

I have a Intel 3945 wifi card and I am currently using the Intel utility to connect to my wifi network at home. I am in the process of installing XP (removing Vista till SP1) and I am on the optimize a notebook part of my installation ( http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=5787).

With that being said, whats is faster during the bootup, Windows or the Intel utility?

    Thanks,
    Rich

On XP, the Intel utility is best. On Vista, the Windows utility is best. Truthfully, just stick with Vista...SP1 will be out in like 6 months, and is already stable enough <_<

+1 for Vista. As soon as improved drivers come out for the 135M, this machine will be perfect.

Already pretty stable and functional as is.

I am just finding that XP is a lot faster than Vista (for me). I use the machine mostly for web browsing & email/office apps.

I do think that vista is much better optimized for a small 12" screen (what I have) than XP (harder to see).

That's poppy****, XP and Vista are both extremely customizable in regards to font/DPI size.

Display properties for XP. I honestly don't have a Vista machine in front of me right now.

In XP(can't say about vista) windows wireless management is a bit faster than intel while booting but intel is better and easy to manage i am using it and can't find a problem.......

I use the intel utility and I am very happy with it. I have had no problems with it so far
