I have a problem with my wireless randomly switching off on my M1210. The wifi light switches off, sometimes when I'm surfing online, and there's nothing I can do but to restart to get it to turn back on. I haven't touched the wifi switch, but even switching that off then on again does nothing. I have unchecked the "allow this device be switched off to save power consumption" box, but it still happens, annoyingly.

My 1505 did the same thing when I first got it. After upgrading the drivers, it hasn't happened in a looooong time.

Yeah, this is a common problem with several of the inspirons. Try updating your drivers. You should also be able to do FN+F2 to toggle between off/on - you have to hit it twice cause your laptop doesn't think it is off.

Mine didn't affect my wifi. I agree with schmoken. Since i've updated my drivers, i don't have the problem nearly as bad.
