    Ordered a vostro 1500 yesterday night around 10PM, called just now (4 in the afternoon) and its already in the boxing, thats less than 24hrs from being ordered to boxing... wow.
    Not sure if this is good though, because I was going to call them to request a good LCD but since its already in boxing I guess that'd be impossible, now I just have to hope I get a good one.

    By the way, would you say this is an alright deal?

    You're lucky then. The 8600GT isn't offered in any other notebook that I know of for under $1500, so yes, I would say it's a good deal.

    wtf thats amazingly fast lol i ordered mine on 8/22/2007 and i just called and finally its in the boxing stage compared to mine yours is really fast ^_^

    Congrats... My i1520 is just taking FOREVER! (though not as long as others)...

    I'm not sure they would be able to guarantee you a specific screen though... It is like asking NewEgg to gurantee you a certain stepping on a CPU. Pretty hard to do...
