I have my eye on Hitachi 7200 rpm 2.5 inch notebook hard drive Travelstar E7K60... I wonder if it is compatible with inspiron 7000...[?][?][?][?][?][?]

It is the only 7200 rpm notebook drive I have seen. If there are faster drives than this please do repeal my claim of world's fastest notebook drive here.[ :)][ :)][ :)]

From what I remember reading, they say to stay away from the E7K60. They recommend the 7K60 model instead. I think it had something to do with the E models being designed for servers or something. The 7K60 is more suited for home/personal usage.

Seagate has also released a 7200rpm HDD with capacities upto 100GB. I believe they have also upped their warranty to 5 years.

Only if it can work with the "Mission Impossible" 50 cents size CD to be told "Your mission is to find RA(Jaye Davidson) and make him smile while in the Kalium Galaxy, after you taken the "Stargate" 1,000 light year ride in 46 seconds, "What a Rush" and remember should any of your agents be caught or killed the secretary will disavow any knowledge, Good luck Mr. Phelps.[ :D]

Thanks for the info Venombite... I think the seagate product is not yet out in the market. I have never encountered 7200 rpm drives in online computer stores and also in the popular computer shops.

Please do tell your experience on the seagate 7200 drive and that of hitachi... Any problems??? especially in those owners of pentium II dell inspiron notebooks? inspiron 7000 if possible???
