512 RAM
128 ATI Video Card
WUXGA with True Life

I just got a new Dell 9300 and I love it and haven't noticed any of the
sparkles or whatever everyone is complaining about. It is an amazing laptop and I'm sure you'll love it. As for noise from the fans, I can't even hear the fans when I'm alone in a quiet room. I recall reading an independent review online a few weeks ago and the person noted that this laptop is very nice because it has such quiet fans and the laptop does not heat up at all because of the Pentium M unlike the hot running Pentium 4 which needs like a million fans to cool down (in laptops).
Anyway, don't send it back, it's a great purchase.
Dell Inspiron 9300

80 GB 5200 rpm (or 4700, something like that)

17'' WideScreen UXGA with TrueLife -

Sorry for maybe dubbelpost...my question is...are Dell use the same delevery for USA and Europe...i heard that the USA screen are from Malaysia and the Europe are from Ireland??
-
Is their cand of delivery in usa they get it from malaysia..europe from?
And please...you some love it or hate it tell me more... -
I've had mine since Wednesday. The fans are very quiet and I haven't noticed any pixelization problems, even with predominantly white backgrounds. The only thing I have to get used to is the small text on the massive display.
As was stated, the complaints are from a very vocal but tiny minority. -

Yeah, I have read alot of threads on these forums about "the sparkle effect," and I still ordered the 9300. What made my decision was going to a Dell Direct Kiosk in my local mall. I looked at the XPS Gen 2 for "the sparkle effect" while there and didn't find it at all. I still believe that what I ordered is a good purchase.

Happy Dell 9300 owner for nearly 2 months now. Still not quite sure what "sparkle" is. And I have the LG screen.
cheers,

yassarian, how do you figure out the manufacturer and model number of your panel? Is this something just applicable to dell?
I was trying to figure out mine, and just couldn't think of a way!

belarc reported something that didn't really point to a manufacturer. I got something like MS_19.7" not that I have a 19.7 inch. But anyway belrac identified other things incorrectly in my system such as less Ram than there actually is, and wrong FSB. So maybe I have something on my system causing it to mess up!
I was just interested in figuring out what the latency of my screen was. Any way not too big a deal.
Thanx Heart.

Ran it twice with same results.
I am not too concerned. My laptop uses a SiS chipset which seems to be incompatible with a lot of the software that can do system analysis and reporting. So that might be just another one of these software with problems with my chipset.
My computer is running fast and stable. So I am fine with it.
Thanx again

This afternoon I went through a set of hardware identification software that I know of and almost 90% had problems identifying things correctly on my system (some of the software reported the most ridiculous specifications). (None could tell me what my monitor is.) I think it is most probably the chipset issue.
I got in touch with one of the programmers of one of these software, who I know is pretty responsive about these issues. I am interested to see what he will have to say. Although his software doesn't identify all hardware, just motherboard, chipset, CPU, RAM, and some other related stuff.
By the way in case you are interested, for such hardware related software I go to www.majorgeeks.com but note some of the software they have could be pretty old and might not work with new hardware. I usually just try the newer stuff!
About the forums. That's almost how all public forums are. I actually scout around some others (not all computer related) that make this place look soooo good. You can never have enough moderators and admins on forums with the magnitude of posts as much as there is here. Best solution is just to ignore what bothers you because some people just wont quit.

Heart,
Whenever you're ready to ask your questions about Fujitsu go ahead and do so.
Yes this is the computer I am trying to figure out the LCD panel manufacturer on. I wouldn't exactly say I am having trouble with it. It's just that I am too curious to know everything there is to know about any piece of hardware I see in front of me []. Windows recognizes all the hardware/drivers and everything is in perfect working conditions. I do use it for intensive mathematical modeling applications and when I have time some gaming, and I never had stability or any other form of problems!
yes I am moderator on "Fujitsu" and "Hardware" forums.
Good night!
