    Greetings - I just received a Dell D600 off of eBay (great experience, again, by the way) and want to soup it up for my daughter. It has a cheapo Dell wireless card on it. What I would like to do is take the Intel 2915 off of my XPS M170 and put it in the D600 - then get a 3945 for the M170. I've searched here and can't find any input - does anyone know if this would work? TIA

    I'm not sure but I think if it's intel wireless, then it could be built into the motherboard.

    No, it's a Mini PCIe card. Though the 3945 was certainly designed for the centrino duo platform, I wouldn't swear it couldn't work, given that it's PCIe.... but no guarantees.

    Nope.

    M170 = Mini PCI
    Intel 3945ABG = Mini PCIe
