Would a video card for Dell Insipron 9300 work on a E1705(9400)?

Edit: No way! the cards are different mechanically! See my gallery for pics.

I have an E1705 with video problems that are likely in the video board (vertical columns of horizontal dashes as seen here http://pics.bbzzdd.com/users/JesseKnows/Inspiron9400-1.JPG and attached; these appear on external VGA connection as well so it's not in the LCD itself). 9300 video cards are MUCH cheaper than E1705/9400, and I am not concerned with gaming or 3D video performance. I just want the Windows XP 2D stuff.

From the Dell literature it seems possible that the 9300 board would fit mechanically and electrically. I have no way to know about the BIOS code.

Does anyone know first hand whether the 9300 board would work on an E1705?

I was also thinking about using the E1705's Intel video, but I am pretty certain that motherboards with the Video Board connector do not have the LCD connector. This however would be easy to ascertain, just disassemble the unit...

Any info here would be welcome.
