Specs as follows:
Hello,
I am currently looking @ buying a laptop for work, but I am a gamer as well. I am not all too crazy for the best high end perfect graphics, but I am happy with medium settings. I was looking at the following setup:
Intel® Core 2 Duo T5300 (2MB Cache/1.73GHz/533MHz FSB)
Genuine Windows Vista Home Premium
15.4 inch Wide Screen XGA Display with TrueLife(glossy)
2GB Shared Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 533MHz, 2 Dimm
80GB SATA Hard Drive (5400RPM)
24X CD Burner/DVD Combo Drive
256MB ATI MOBILITY RADEON® X1400 HyperMemory
Integrated Audio
I do have 1 question though. How much performance hit would I take by sticking with a 5400 RPM HD instead of a 7200?
Thanks.

WoW can run even with integrated graphics. So the X1400 should run WoW at medium/high settings with no trouble at all. I'm not too sure how graphics intensive Warhammer is. I would think that the X1400 could run it at low/medium settings.
Gaming performance is not affected by the hard drive speed. A faster spinning hard drive results in programs loading faster and Windows booting up quicker. -
Thank you for your swift response. Would you recommend I wait until other models/deals come out before opting-in to make a purchase? The latest I'd make any kind of purchase would be August.

mattireland It used to be the iLand..
Really if your not going to be doing that much with it the 5400 RPM's fine. It's only if you want really fast disk writing speeds i.e. if you do alot of programming/image editing that you'd NEED the 7200 - it's always nice to have if you can fork out the extra cash.
Yeh, I'm not a great fan of integrated audio bit it looks as if it should be able to play your games.
Hope this helped! Do PM me - it makes me happy. -

Ok,
One last question (I promise!) Even with 2 GB of system memory, if I decided (theoretically) to purchase the 1505, how well does the ATI X1400 256 Hypermemory compare parallel to the Nvidia 7900 gs? Medium settings is what I am looking for, or would the X1400 be too low? My budget is $1050. -
ATI X1400 is entry-level graphics whereas the 7900GS is mainstream/performance level graphics.
Wait a few weeks if you can... more companies are moving to nVidia 8x00 series
Would this E1505 perform great for gaming on Medium graphics? (WoW and upcoming Warhammer Online)
