    Est. delivery date 01/22/2008 - 01/24/2008

"In production" to "shipped" that fast? No boxing?

    It was an EPP deal.

I have a tracking number and everything. It's being shipped to Texas.

Have things sped up since the Christmas rush is over?

The original shipping date was 30Jan.

You think my machine was assembled in the USA?

You can see the configuration in my sig line.

    What up?? LOL

    Joe

PS: you can get a stackable 10% off coupon code for certain EPP purchases here:

    https://holidaycoupon.dellsavings.com/welcome.html

Purchase must be submitted by 24Jan.

It's still available on the Canadian website, but only limited configurations with XP. Not sure about other countries......

I went through my employee portal, but you can go to Dell.com and find it by searching for laptops.... then go to the models where XP is still being offered. Maybe it's only an XP offer?

I think some EPPs have certain config already prebuilt, tested, boxed and ready to ship. Especially with common configurations.

That would be better than getting a return!

Have a bunch of common configs that just might need some easy RAM switches or something before sending out. I hope you are right.

You guys are probably right. And if you are, the 1520s seem to be stored at La Vergne, TN. That's where mine shipped from. It's now at the DHL hub in Waco, TX. The Lojack CDs have already arrived! Now I'm looking for the main shipment on 21Jan. Maybe they can even get it here faster, except DHL doesn't deliver Dell packages on Saturday.

    Come on DHL.... lol
