    Hi!

I have an Inspiron 1525 with Intel® Core™ 2 Duo Processor T8100 (2.10 GHz, 800 MHz FSB, 3 MB L2 cache) and dual boot Vista and XP SP2

I noticed that speedstep is not working as it should be in XP; CPU-Z is showing multiplier only from 8 to 10,5, in Vista it's ok from 6 to 10,5

Did I miss something during XP install?

    Any help appreciated. Thanks

Did you solve your problem? I have the exact same problem on my BenQ S32B with a T8100, Vista can not get it right too only Linux (Ubuntu) scales down to 800mhz, whilst XP/Vista constantly run between 1600mhz and 2100mhz.

Any other T8100 owners having the same issues?

Also programs like fangui, nhc, speedfan, etc all do not work on this cpu/laptop. Anyone got any tips howto fix this and how to enable undervolting and such to keep this baby cooler. Thanks a bunch.

Edit: Opened a topic calling for all T8100 owners to check/report their speedstepping here.
