My sister ordered a Dell 1420 in midnight blue a little while ago. When the laptop came, the base was warped, and rocked side to side while typing kind of like when a chair is missing the bottom of its leg.
We sent the laptop back, and they said they would ship us a new one. The new one came in red (she picked a different color) and seemed to be fine until today. My sister was away from the weekend, and she said her laptop was acting slower than her older laptop so I checked it out. I download the new Nvidia drivers and they didn't work, even with the modded .inf file.
I thought this was kind of weird so I checked the Windows Experience Index, and it says that she had the Intel X3100. So now were going to have to send the laptop back again to get it fixed... grr...

i'd say demand compensation along the line of cash back and extended warranty for all the trouble it caused.

I orginally ordered T7100 with 7200 HD. Had it replaced! New one has T7500 with 5400HD. Dell refunded me $125 for the HD mistake and I get to keep the T7500 laptop.
Wrong video card... grr...
