    Hello guys,

Could you give me a very brief step sequence in order to install XP MCE and Ubuntu on the same Inspiron 6400. Here are the relevant specs of the lappy, along with my requirements:

    * I have 60 gb HDD, I'd want 30 gb for Ubuntu (probably 2gb SWAP + 10gb for system + 18gb for /home = 3 partitions), for the XP --- 1 partitions is enough + whatever needed for the DirectMedia.

What I'm interested in is whether I should install XP first, then install the DirectMedia, and then Ubuntu, i.e. the order, as well as any tips that you can give me.

Thanks, I know this has been covered in the forum, but what I need is info applying particularly to my case...if you may ;)) Thanks.

I have Ubuntu with MCE and Media Direct. I installed the MediaDirect 3 first which then has you install XP. And last, Ubuntu. Do you really need 2 gb for swap? How much RAM do you have?

Well, I have 2 Gb RAM, I know it's absolutely enough and swap is needless, but I don't know---I guess I'm always kinda paranoid I might run out of memory

Thanks for your help! I'll try installing your way these days.
