I installed XP on my 1525 from Vista and I have only one problem in device manager. It is under Other devices and is titles Audio Device on High Definition Audio Bus. After researching, I see it is the Intel HD Audio HDMI driver that is needed. I downloaded the Dell driver R180043 for XP 1525 labeled Intel and that does not work. I still get the hardware found error upon installing and reinstalling this driver. I see the folders under R180043 in cell/Drivers/R180043/HDMI etc so I know this is the right one (well I think it is) but it just keeps saying its reinstalling it to no avail. We did the same install with my husbands 1525 2 weeks ago and this did not happen to his. In his list of Devices he has Intel HD Audio HDMI where I do not. Can someone please help me? I get regular system sound but no sound on playback of video or music. Ive looked on the INtel site where I was advised to download the 965 chipset but no luck. Any help would be much appreciated!
Thanks,
SHEL

Never mind, the . IntelĀ® Graphics Media Accelerator Driver for Windows* XP (exe) (20407KB) 14.36.2.4980 8/27/2008 from the INtel website has removed the error from device manager. Yay

but theres still a dell validation error with the graphic-driver. no chance to get over it.
can you tell me, where you get that driver from?

You can find the driver under c:\dell\drivers\R180043\HDMI Hope this helps.
