I keep reading about having to enable dual core support on this OS. Is this something that I need to worry about or does my fresh install use this by default? Here is a link to the Microsoft take on it:

Thanks all!

It's based on WinXP Pro, so, there should be no issues.
My laptop runs at 1GHz most of the time, then I when I need it, it jumps to 2GHz.
This is to control temps and power usage.
My laptop also runs much much cooler than than I thought it would. It barely gets warm. -
APPLIES TO
• Microsoft Windows Server 2003, Standard x64 Edition
• Microsoft Windows Server 2003, Enterprise x64 Edition
• Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2, when used with:
Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition
Microsoft Windows XP Professional
• Microsoft Windows XP Tablet PC Edition 2005
Pro is listed in the article, so I thought that may be a reason I sometimes get stutters. Maybe not! I'll check tonight, I just did a clean install 2 days ago and have not loaded back the games, so we'll see! -

open your task manager , click the performance tab, and that should show you both cores and their usage

Well I tried the Hotfix and the other steps in a thread here, and it does seem a bit faster booting and such. I'll keep it installed I suppose
XP:MCE uses both cores on 1210 laptops?
