    Hi,

I have an XPS 1210 with a broken bottom chasis (the bottom plastic tabs that hold the battery are broken). I purchased a new part (Assembly,Cover,Bottom,Base XPS-M1210) that I will need to install.

I am assuming that everything needs to come apart, then get installed in the new bottom base. Is there a guide that would outline what needs to be done (and in what order)?

I am planning to start this tomorrow, so any reading I could get in advance would be helpful.

I have experience swapping processors in the Inspiron 8600 series laptops (plus swapping touchpads, lcd's, etc).

    Thanks,
    Rich
