Is it easy to replace the hd in the XPS 1210 or do you have to remove the keyboard and other parts?

    Thanks.

It's pretty easy, just Google a parts book or diagrams if you are inexperienced with hard drive replacements. They will tell you screw for screw what you need to do. Good luck

You can find your upgrade manual at support.dell.com which will show you the diagrams on what you need to do. As Airman stated, it is fairly easy. Just a note, upgrading the HDD does not void your warranty, but it will not be covered in your warranty. If you do not have your own XP disc, you can request this disc as well as any other discs (including the MediaDirect disc) from Dell's Tech Support.
