No. They sell one on there site in the configuration part for the 1210. But if you want one you'll have to buy third party.

The only dock station that you can use is a USB dock station. The latitude line is the only dell series that actually has a dock port for it. There are universal USB dock ports, and we've done a few reviews on a couple of them.

SG is right as usual. I think this is a design mistake, but Dell didn't think it would make sense.

The XPSM1710 has a dock port and works nicely with the Dell D/Dock unit. One would think the XPS lineage would allow a similar feature with the M1210.

I wouldn't completely rule it out unless someone that HAS a M1210 actually says there is no dock port. (The M1710 certainly isn't advertised as having one, but it does!).

Yeah, i didn't realize that the 1710 came with one, but it is on service manual. The M1210 does not appear to have it, and Brian does/did have one, so I'm sure he would have seen it if it was there.

Well, I saw one, we reviewed one and I met with Dell 8 weeks ago and asked them why they left it off, so yeah, I think we have it on good authority ;)

Huge mistake to leave it off...Dell has no 4lb latitude right now and this leaves a big gap since the 700m got killed off.

a dock allows you to connect things to your laptop with just one cable. You would connect your mouse, keyboard, monitor, speakers, etc to the dock. Then connect the dock to your laptop. It allows you to turn your laptop into a desktop very quickly without having to plug in all of the wires.
