My XPS13 (9350) is not more than 1 week old and I am experiencing the following problem: charging always stops at approx. 80-85%. Tried different charging options within BIOS (Primary Battery Charge Configuration/ automatic, manual to start charging at x% and stop at 90%/100%, normal charging) but it seems any of these options take effect?! Is it possible that the battery in XPS13 does not support manual settings and only adaptive charging works? Using the latest bios version though.

Having doubts if returning the laptop or not....

Battery charges fine, if you disable all of the smart / adaptive battery charging in BIOS. You're on the right track by knowing that hte setting is controlled in the BIOS. It's just a matter of you playing around with the correct setting, to turn off any kind of Smart Chargning / Adaptive Charging, so that it behaves like a "typical" laptop charger.
