    Hey guys,

I know this is an odd comparison but I'm doubting between the 2 of these.
They both have the same cpu i7 5500

A big plus for the inspiron is that it has 4k display and so I can scale it to 1920x1080 without blur, also has 16GB of ram. Down side is that it's a bit heavier and bigger.

The positive side on the xps 13 is that it's small and light weight, but has a 3k display and scaling issues? Also has 8 GB ram less. I know some people suffer from the fan noise, but how is that on the new inspiron?

Work that I'm planning to do on 1 of these laptop is web development and photo/video editing.

I can't really choose. Do you guys have a suggestion and can you clarify why 1 is better than an other?

Something totally unrelated: Do you think that dell will release a 15inch laptop with infinity display and that will fit a 13inch body?

    Thanks

I'm trying to decide b/w these two as well and am leaning towards the Inspiron simply because if you have a higher resolution screen, you should have a GPU that's powerful enough to run thing smoothly at the screen's native resolution.

I have more confidence in the AMD Radeon doing that than the Intel HD5500.

One thing to keep in mind is that the XPS 13 is rated for 12-15 hours while the Inspiron only gets around 4. The Inspiron looked great on paper to me but the 4 hours is so low especially for a $1000 non-gaming laptop.
