My xps is displaying all color that should be white as pink~light purple. Anyone else encounter such a thing?

Also, how can I check that the screen is really the led backlit one and not the regular one?

OK, I attached an external CRT and it displayed whites perfectly... so I got a defective lcd. Seriously how did such an lcd make it through testing?

Here are pictures of what I was talking about. The computer was running the high contrast "white" setting under windows color and appearance.
