    Hi guys,

    My story short:

I got my XPS on the 16th of Dec. 2007 (waited a month).

Upon unpacking I have noticed that there is a big scratch on the lid - right next to the “XPS” logo. Nothing serious, but noticeable. The laptop was packed with a “3-wire” power cord, which is not applicable the country I live in. Although promised a number of times, I am still waiting for proper cord to be shipped to me.

A week or so after using the laptop, I noticed I was given an extra feature not included in my order. The infamous “CPU whine” made its appearance clear. My motherboard is “Revision 01”, and Dell stopped shipping those (due to the whining) in the beginning of October. Apparently not! A quick thought – I think I was given a refurbished system, due to the scratch, and the outdated whining mother board.

Well, I am a customer from the so called “emerging markets”, and I guess the faulty systems are what we get. Anyway, a little C3E, and C4E managing, set the CPU’s sobbing and whining to the minimum.

On this glorious morning, I start my laptop to see that I have 2!! dead pixels (type 2nd by ISO 13406-2) in the central part of the screen. Since they’re “dead”, and not “stuck” pixels, this defect is very much beyond repair (despite the urban legend going about it).

I have my self well prepared for a hard battle with the CSR's at Dell, but I don't know any phone numbers to call, or emails to write. I live in SE Europe, and I want to talk to the UK&Ireland office, since my lappy was build there.

Can anyone help me with those contact details.

    Thank you in advance.

    Thank you Dreamer, and aan310.

aan310, cheers for the direct link - a proof that I should've lurked a tad more.
Has anyone been in the same predicament? I mean, do you have a direct phone number or an email to a supervisor or a person that will be more, errr... responsive? :")

Such info will be useful to others, I belive.

    P.S.

I'll update you on my progress. : )
