Is this a common thing about the touch buttons? I have to smear my finger over the eject button multiple times for five seconds or so in order to get the CD/DVD to eject. This is only for the eject button -- all other buttons work fine (or better, at least).

Has anyone had experience with this? Should I get a replacement?

    Thanks!

perhaps the connector for the media buttons may be damaged or slightly out of the socket. you could either have a look yourself, or get dell to send a tech.

Yup I concur. Sounds like the connector may have come loose. Refer to your service manual (you can obtain a copy at support.dell.com) for instructions on how to reconnect the wire.

Someone else was saying the same thing a day or two ago and said the problem was solved with installation of the latest BIOS.
