    does anyone knows what is the diffrence between CRT and LCD ... the action Fn with F8 make the screen restart but no diffrnec???

    Its for hooking up to an external monitor. You can toggle between just your lcd, lcd +external, or just external using that button.

    It assumes the external monitor will be a CRT.
    They should really choose a new label now that almost all monitors are LCD.

    yes, but then the button would be lcd/lcd which isnt really descriptive.

    having crt/lcd one assumes the crt to be an external and the lcd to be the laptops.
