I just got my 1530 with the bluray drive, great machine, but I'm having issues with the audio out with the HDMI cable. I'm getting a picture, but the audio is not coming out of the TV, instead its coming out of the laptop which is terrible.
Is there anyway to fix this? Also, if I plugged the HDMI from the laptop to a receiver with HMDI input and then to the TV would I get digital audio out or only two channel? I want to be able to use the Bluray to its full capabilities.

You should check out the settings in whichever app you are using to run you movie.

I think Dell forgot to ship audio stream via HDMI with your laptop

You need to set the HDMI as the default device before you open the application you want. Just right click on the speaker in the taskbar and choose playback devices. Set HDMI as default. Done. Start DVD. Enjoy.
