    Hi All,

I just got my dell xps 1530 this morning. Pretty unsettled by how much of a hump there is in my keyboard (see posts on 'uneven' keyboard).

This is probably the most ridiculous question but here goes nothing:

How do I get my remote inside that right side SD card slot?

Right now there seems to be a black pastic piece covering over that slot, and I can't seem to figure out how the hell to remove it. I know that on my old 600m there is a grey plastic piece that slides in the slot, and it is removable by a small little tab that allows the piece inside to come free...yet on the 1530, I don't see one.

Thanks for helping out a newb.

Since you have the LG screen I would try to fix the problem yourself like another guy in that thread you linked to. You can get the service manual and do it yourself. it's not that hard to get to the wires under the keyboard. Even the tech that came to my house needed this manual, good thing I had it on hand ;)

    Ya thanks thunder,

I'm already getting over it. I like the system too much to want to pry it apart right now. Maybe in a few months when the honeymoon faze is over =P

Well danwpc, after looking at the hump for about ten days I sent mine back. Dell approved the return the same day, I am hoping to get the money tomorrow and today I ordered a Studio 15 with a much better configuration for about the same cost. Good luck with yours.
