    Hey guys.

I'm fairly new to the whole laptop world.

I really like the look of the 1530, but I'm not sure what screen to get or to hold out for the LED?

I play games like World of Warcraft and Counter Strike Source.

    Any information would be great!

    Thanks :)

    -Jack

    Edit.

I'm from Australia, so I can get these:

    WXGA 1280*800
    WXGA 1440*900
    or the
    WSXGA 1680*1050

I guess the main reason I'm asking is to find out which screens are high quality or if they are grainy or whatever.

The grain issue is a tricky one. From what I've read, the 1280x800 and 1680x1050 are the least likely to be affected by grain, but there is a chance none the less, so it makes sense to just choose the resolution you want (rather than the safest) and if it's defective then return it until you get a working one.

I opted for the 1280x800 myself. I will be doing a lot of gaming, so I want native res to be as low as possible to keep my FPS reasonable. My wife has the same screen in her Inspiron and it's fine in terms of desktop real-estate for me.

if you can afford the 1050X1680 you should get it. You can alway adjust the resolution to what you want it since you have the higher one.
If you are going to keep this laptop for 3-4 year it's better to have it fully loaded. the new softwares and games in the future might like to run in higher resolution..

    Yeah good point...
I think I'll get the 1440 one because I"m so used to 1024x768 lol. So I guess it doesn't really matter. As long as the screen looks good I'll be happy!

    Thanks for your assistance!
