    Hey,

I am currently trying to purchase a new laptop as my old 600m recently bit the dust. I have decided that i want a 1530, but am having issues trying to figure out which screen to get and which wireless card. Obviously going through the outlet limits these choices.

I am trying to decide between buying the WSXGA+ (1680 x 1050 ??), the WUXGA (1920 x 1200), and the WUXGA LED (i think this is correct).

Obviously choosing from the outlet limits my options, and availability, but the WSXGA+ seems to be showing up the most, so I am just waiting for the right configuration to appear. My question is will I be happy with the wsxga+ if I am not going to be playing a lot of games, but want it mostly to view dvd's, play poker online, surf the web, and use excel. or should I continue to wait and hope that a good configuration comes out with an LED display or the wuxga?

I guess as a side not, does the wireless card matter that much for surfing / downloading from a cable modem?

You'll find a lot of problems with the WSXGA+ screen on these forums. You may even get one someone here has returned. Dell has actually dropped that screen from the built-to-order options, so that's probably why the Outlet is flooded with them. I would go with the LED screen personally.

You will be fine with a Wireless G card.

i'm about to send my 1530 back with the 1680x1050 screen. I am sure it'll end up on the Outlet. It has backlight bleeding at the bottom. Can't really notice it to much...but on dark screens you can see it from a mile away. It does not have any graininess, at least that I can tell.

I don't think i've seen one person who got the LED that didn't love it. That is what they are sending me in my new system. I'd wait for one of them to pop up.
