i just picked up oblivion for pc... i have a 1530 with 2.2 dual, 2gb ram, and the higher speed SATA HDD.

what settings do people with a similar setup use for oblivion? its been ages since i've done any games on the PC.

also, would i get any benefits going to XP?

    thanks a bunch!

I seen Ultra 1440x900 25-40 fps in city, 40-60 outside.

No real benefit from using XP.

1680x1050 HDR "Ultra High" - everything maxed out. Vista SP1.

30-40fps. Runs like a dream on my M1530! (see specs in signature)

thanks! that's almost what i have minus the ram, which i'll be upgrading very soon...

i just tried it on ultra high, and i can't honestly believe that this little lappy runs it THAT well. some hitching on outside, but i bet the ram will take out. def less choppy than the 360 version, and looks a million zillion times better. :)

I opened the game expecting it to be choppy too, can't believe it's able to run smoothly at such a high resolution, and all tree, actor fades set to max.

I wonder if the T8300 offers the same performance, I would imagine. Maybe a few less FPS intown

ATITool will put the yellow FPS on the top left of your screen as you game.
