    the 1330 costs more cuz its a portable

    Anything less than a 14" will carry a very high premium. The 15.4" are the best selling laptop size and thus will be the best value.

    It's a good deal if you want to get stuck with that low resolution screen. Add a few options and use that $300 off coupon.

    GDDR3 8600GT at that...

    wow @ the price. closest gddr3 8600gt you can find is in the asus G1 which costs way more and weighs over 1.5 pounds heavier. I am very tempted to buy this thing.

    Not true I found a asus g1's cheaper then the xps, to make it worthwhile i spec'd it and it came out to about 1775 before tax. I've seen bestbuy carry a good g1 for 1500

    Ok , not totally true...but it is cheaper just not WAY cheaper.

    The dell configured with same specs was $1580, compared to g1s for $1699.
