Hi all, just curious. Has anyone found the xps 1530 slighty "meh" after seeing it in person for the first time? I was interested in getting it but then visited a Dell kiosk in a mall to check it out before ordering it and it just put me right off. The build seemed good but the screen was just terrible, unless I was directly 90 degrees in front of it it was just really dark. Even the Dell rep ran out of excuses and gave up. I'm interested to hear what others think of their screens.

The screen on my M1530 is the best I've had on a laptop. Very bright, evenly lit, good contrast and decent viewing angles. Dell, as with other computer manufacturers, purchases LCD panels from various vendors. You may have seen a bad example of a panel. If you order one and don't like it, send it back.

If you upgrade your resolution, you also get better viewing angles.
