Dell spent thousands of $$$ to have their XPS commercial in between plays in the Super Bolw today! Anyone else here see it?
-
-
Yes and I was incredibly proud to know that I ordered it's big brother. What an exquisite laptop.
-
Yeah I saw that. I even saw grain on the screen!
-
Lol....smartass.
-
lol, yes, I too have seen the add on TV. Cool add.
-
I saw it too
Why did they use the ugly red model? -
-
-
It's probably already on youtube
-
-
It wasn't that exciting of a commercial. Just a Gap type model looking dude walking through the city with a Crimson Red XPS lappy under his arm. Nothing too special.
-
Yes but the laptop was beautiful when he started using it in the cafe!

Petty Rules!!!!!
-
LOL, I was just generalizing the commercial.

ScifiMike12 Drinking the good stuff
I have to agree with WizeGuyDezignz. There pretty much was nothing to the commercial. Even my parents, sat there going, 'Huh?'
Just some dude getting a lot of attention, ass-slapped, and embrassed by some chicks because he had a Dell. -
He clearly has a stick up his ass. He does a lot of parading around knocking down threads and telling people to use the search feature. Just....leave him be I guess. Wizeguy I sent you a PM as well.
-
lol @ you dell fanatics, watching super bowl and being on this forum. i saw it too. they were promoting the RED versions. over 200 million people watch the super bowl. having a commerical then is such a good way to get the word out about the XPS and for people to go to dell.com and check it out. advertising market FTW.
now only if they could have one about people and the presidential voting............. -
-
Yes it is out there I believe on cuz it's not a new one.
-
I thought the commercial was very flattering. Looking forward to all the attention when I get my M1330.
-
nothing too spectacular... its rather ghey actually

Here is a link to the commercial:

Let me get this straight, the Dell dude gets slapped on the ass by two men, while women cheer ecstatically? I know ass slapping is a macho football ritual, but, hmmm. -
Damnit, and I thought I was gonna be the first person to post the link. Oh well, guess I'll post it anyway... http://video.msn.com/?mkt=en-us&brand=foxsports&vid=68cd0fc2-4ac0-4539-96e4-f74f5154d7c6

Seems like the whole idea about "getting attention" if you have a XPS.
I thought the ad was cool... -
It was interesting, but nothing too exciting.
-
this means that their crappy systems have sold well in the past months and they have extra money to spend. i saw my $ flying in the sky..
-
-
-
hmm, better to buy a non red colored one and giving $250 to the AIDS fund...instead of the $50 Dell will be giving them (since the "RED" model is now about $250 more)
-
I thought the commercial was kind of pointless..
-
I thought everyone was congratulating him on getting a replacement LG
LCD screen! -
-
Anyone see the doritos commercial with the rat beating up the hitman? I really was on the floor laughing har har har.

Lame commercial. You guys are missing the point. The guy is not getting applause because he's carrying a Dell. He's getting applause because he's joining in the (RED) campaign (hence, the final promo line for people to join in). Which is really stupid because, just like the red ribbon, who gives a s**t? Last time I checked, we already spend a few billion dollars a year on AIDS in Africa and there's still AIDS in Africa. Apparently throwing more money at it -- and at the same time feeling good that you care -- will solve the problem. I'll see you guys in ten years when we have another (RED) campaign to solve AIDS in Africa. Next time it should have people purchasing brown computers, lol. Project (BROWN)!

The commercial sucks! The model should have been a woman in a skimpy red dress! Grow up Dell!
