I dunno how u managed to fit that thing in a 220v socket in the first place, normally the 220v sockets look like this |. - or -.-, not |.|, or they have rounded plugs

What I would do is completely unplug the notebook and remove the battery. Press the power button a few times to drain any excess electricity and see if that helps any.
Another thing I would try is reseating your memory - make sure the battery is out and the plug is removed when you do this as well. -
well im going to try a couple of those steps maybe its either that or i have some bad current in my house

you could have also possibly done some damage internally to your laptop. if the powerbrick was plugged in, you could have blown the motherboard or the powersupply.

What if my friend bought an extended completecare warranty, and set up a system exchange, whats the chances theyd send him an XPS M1710 to replace his original XPS
-
your power brick may be fried my friend did the same thing with his cell phone charger and his charger no longer works
-
It depends on if dell has the parts for the XPS or not. If they have the parts to replace his orginial XPS, then no - he won't get a new M1710.

You shorted the power supply or burnt out the MB
XPS Gen 1 wont receive any power
