Hello, peeps I have a serious problem with my lcd. It started with a little smudge of color about 3/4 up from the bottom it has a blurry effect, almost like a bar code effect with the color all smudged up. I notice that if I was to put pressure on the screen on the left top side it will go back to normal screen, it progressively got worst now no matter what pressure I put it remains the same. If any of you are having the same problems please let me know.

I took the screen apart reconnected all the LCD ribbon cable and still had the same affect. I installed an external monitor just to see if it was my video card and it worked fine.

Please anyone who has the same problem and rectified it get back to me ASAP.

    thank you :)

Sounds like a hardware problem since it goes away when you press on the screen, I'd call Dell and get a replacement

yeah, if you can fix it by pushing on the screen, you want a new notebook.
