    Is it possible to turn off the mousepad on the M1210?

    Yes, in the mousepad config that is in the Control Panel, theres an option to Turn Off the mouse pad while a USB/PS2 Mouse is connected, check out the options.

    Make sure to have your touchpad drivers up to date, and you should have that option in the Mouse settings in the control panel as Alex said.

    This is an option only for certain touchpad drivers, so it will also depend on what touchpad you have.
