ok i have just ordered a new xps m1210, but i did not get the 256mb gnvidia graphics card installed on it, by the time i called them back to add the card it was too late, but the person at the customer care told me that i could call dell anytime and they would come and add it for me at a cost ofcourse. So, my question is that if i can buy any 512 mb graphics card instead and then tell dell to install it for me? If yes which cards are comaptible with this laptop and if possible any links?? thank you

No you cannot put any other graphics card beside the go7400 in an xps m1210.

Odds are that you cannot even put in the nvidia card because the dedicated gpu and integrated gpu options will use different motherboards.

If you need dedicated graphics, return your laptop when you get it, and re-order with the 7400.

    as stated, you cannot upgrade.

if you want the dedicated card, cancel your order and re-order. as long as the computer hasn't shipped, you can cancel. even then, you can refuse shipment.
