I have the default driver obtained from Dell. I tried to download a newer driver from Nvidia, Geforce go 7 series for Windows XP, and I keep getting that error that says, "The NVIDIA setup program could not locate any drivers that are compatible with your current hardware. Setup now will now Exit." I even deleted the old driver before I tried to install. I went to Laptopvideo2go, and downloaded their driver too, the last one that was certified, I think the date was 11/2006, and I get the same error. Any sugestions? Or what drivers do you guys use? Can I adjust the clock settings? Is there a program I need to use?

    Thanks for any help!

They have Xtreme Mobile drivers that allow you to OC the card.

coolbits regisrty hack unlocks NV's own OC tools and other goodies (google fool!) works just fine with the standard dell driver, I use it with my m1210, I run the detect optimal frequency function at least 3 times, and go with the lowest, I'm running at 539mhz core and 1.08ghz mem, no problems at all, and no exessive heat, though I have my fans set to low constant, and crank up to high at 55c

you can install them, you just have to jump through a few hoops first, checkout the gaming forum, dell tries to get you to use their drivers for support/stability reasons, and dell is not alone in this, laptop cards can vary significantly from one make to another, like a 7400 in an m1210 is quite different than a 7400 in asony vaio, I havent actually looked at NVs site in awhile, but ati has a list of laptops their mobile drivers are compatible with, and dell is not on that list, so when timmy tries to upgrade his x1400 drivers at ati's site, he has the same problem your having,

As stated before, I'm having very good results with the dell standard driver and coolbits
