    XPS M1210 Production to Shipping Time?

    What is the typical time for the XPS M1210 to go from In production to Shipped status? I assume if it is in production that all the require components are on hand and it is in the assmebly line.

    Are these laptops built in Texas or over seas? I beleive I was told Texas by a CSR but wondered if this was always the case on these.

    mine took from march 13th to 17th to go from "in production" to "shipped"

    Mine was ordered on the 14th and went to production on the 15th. Just hoping it may arrive here next week.

    aye it just updated, i ordered last monday at night at a kiosk and the status was in production when i received my order number on wednesday, and the status changed from in production to shipped just this morning

    I hope since I leave on a trip on the 29th and would love to have it instead of my 8lb Compaq monster :D

    Mine just went to shipped and Purolator lists it as "In Transit in U.S."
    Any ideas on how long that typically takes to make it into Canada and delivered?

    From reading some other threads it looks like it takes 2-3 days on average to get into Canada and then 2-3 more to the destination. They are giving my estimated delivery date as the 26th, it was the 28th before the shipping update. Plus Purolator doesn't do weekend deliveries unless you pay extar and only in some regions I beleive. With luck we will see them this week, but Monday maybe at the worst I hope.

    so maxiumum 6 days, thats pretty long...
    oh well its not like i am in a hurry or anything
    btw i heard pulator really sucks haha
