    XPS M1210 USB Problems

    Well i reformated my entire laptop and installed xp pro, got everything working but usb storage devices, i can see it connecting to the laptop but it wont show up at the my computer screen, the weird thing is that i use a logitech usb mouse and that works fine..? any idea's?

    might be the bluetooth. Bluetooth comes out as a USB device.

    did you check your device drivers to make sure they are installed correctly? You need to sure all of dell's drivers.

    did you install XP SP2?

    Some of Dell's drivers/devices won't work unless you install SP2

    Try this-Right CLick on MY COMPUTER, go to Manage. On Left side you will see Disk Management. Double click on it and you should see your USB drive on the right side. It should say something like Healthy in the white section, right click in the white section and then change the drive letter. That should do it for you-
