Hey everyone. I've been here reading a lot and I've finally joined. I just had a questions for you users who had vista and downgraded to XP. I recently got the xps m1210 for a really good deal, however, i do not like vista. My question is, I've noticed we have SATA HD's in these notebooks, in order to install XP, will i have to do the F6 function and have sata drivers from a floppy loaded or just install it normal like an IDE HD?

When I installed XP on my M1210 it skipped right past that. I too was expecting to install a SATA driver as well but it skipped right over that and onto the installation when I did it. And I was installing from an XP Pro SP1 CD.
