I am thinking about buying a Dell XPS M1210 and i have a question about the size of the battery size. I cant choose any primary battery except the 9 cell. So my question is, will this battery stick out from the computer (anyone got pics?).

    Thanks

I rarely noticed the larger battery on my ThinkPad, but liked the extra time.

It seems like the XPS M1210 got quite an impressive batterylife with the 9 cell. Do you know if it is possible to buy an additional battery afterwards, or do i have to buy that when i buy the computer?

it's cheaper to buy it whenu buy your pc with the 9 cell as your primary.

Check ebay. You can usually get quite a good deal on a dell notebook battery.

It sticks out exactly 2.3 cm = 0.9 inches.
You can find a pic at http://driverdraven.googlepages.com/
you should know (cause everyone says so), the black part of the back gets all fingerprints from your hand, so the 9 cell let me grab it by just touching the battery and the grey part ;)

I personally like that the 9-cell sticks out about and inch. It makes a great place to get a solid grip on the notebook while im carrying it. Its almost like a handle when im carrying it under my arm.

It doesnt look too bad. And i think i will survive that with the increased batterylife.
