Hey, this is my first post and I want to begin with saying this forum is great! Thumbs up!

Now to my problem. I just got my new XPS M1210 and I'm very satisfied! I did a clean install and installed all the drivers but I can't install the bluetooth-drivers because I have to activate it before I can install them.

It sais I have to press Fn + F2 to activate it but the M1210 doesn't have any icon for that button so obviously it doesn't work. I've enabled Bluetooth in Radio Control Options in Dell QuickSet. How can I activate my built in Bluetooth?

I'm trying to install these drivers: Dell Wireless 355 Bluetooth Module (Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR) (R140135.exe).

Any help would be appreciated, thank you!

    Try also the BIOS.
Whats odd is that, I dont remember turning on or trying to turn it on before I installed the Bluetooth software. And even when i DID install the software, I still had to double click on the BT icon on the task bar to Really get it to install, and that seemed to take FOREVER to do.
    Hope this kinda helped? lol

EDIT~went to look and i used R127314 for my BT software not R130135, and yes i have the same BT 355 as you~

I think you have to activate it in the bios

Here's one for you too. Since I installed Vista, XP won't flash my bluetooth back to the XP stack. I'm dualbooting, so it's not a huge issue, but if I ever go back to XP...that's a problem.

I found the answer in the dell support forums, here's what I did:

    1. unzip the drivers (/drivers)
    2. use the file /drivers/win32/inst.exe to install your drivers for Vista 32-bit.

The Fn + F2 screen only comes up in the end of the installationprocess, just click cancel.

You've just installed your Bluetooth device! :)
