    Hello,

I'm hoping to place an order for the laptop today with dell uk for the black but now little concerned after reading black is a magnet for fingerprint smudges. Red & blue are also available in the UK.

Which of these casing colors is likely to stay the cleanest with fingerprint smudges etc. I hope its not red as it seems to be a little too loud a color & not one to pull out in a meeting.

    thanks

My white M1530 is good for fingerprints, they don't show up much at all, in comparison, my M1210 (which is the same black as the M1530 comes in) shows fingerprints no matter how careful I am.

White, without a doubt. It's high gloss finish allows you to easily wipe off any smudges. Whereas the black/red/blue finishes are much harder to keep clean as they show the oils of your skin much more and are harder to wipe off.

Just go with the colour you'll want. I have the black and I almost never clean it, and it doesn't look bad at all. This is my own opinion, so you may think differently. The fingerprints don't show up overly, nor are they hard to remove.

Thanks for all your advice !

White seems to be the way to go but unfortunately its not available in UK.
Seems like i will just go for the plain vanilla black & see how it goes.

Yea, White is the best you can get as far as keeping away the prints. It has a glossy finish and not the satin finish of the others. As for the satin finishes, red does show prints but not as bad as the others. The red is actually pretty dark and I wouldn't use "loud" as a way to describe it but that's just me. =)

I actually believe Red is the cleanest because fingerprints/dirt doesnt show whereas dirt will show on the white.

I have a red XPS and oily fingerprints do show. They are just less visible than on the black and blue.
The White is glossy and non-poreous like macbooks. It has a completely different finish than the red, blue, and black and doesn't show prints in the same manner.

Not sure if it matches those but the color is way close to my product (red) razr.

Oh white is so blah !! go with red or midnight blue or black.
The prints.. they hardly show and wipe off easily.
Go with the personal color you love.
    Just my thoughts!
