I configured a system to check pricing and noticed a new option for a sound card: Creative Labs Express Sound Card for $75 Is it worth cancelling my order to add it on and wait another 2 weeks for? Will it make a difference?
Actually Im thinking of cancelling to save $150 off my order price. Just got a faculty/staff discount. Now if I can find a coupon that works and stacks to that I'll be great.

It's an express card. You can even buy it separately on newegg or something.
... as for your order price. Try calling and getting it applied to your current order. (sometimes they will budge, sometimes not) -
If you wanna buy it separately, you can even buy it separately from Dell themselves FOR CHEAPER:

I just realized its external. Express card should have made me catch on.
Now its definitely not worth cancelling and going to the back of the line over. Seems the university prices changed since last night too, now my savings are only $30 for the same system spec I ordered. Funny how Dell works, one night you save $150 off, in the morning its only $30 off.
Yeah I think I'll keep my ship date instead. Thanks for the reccomendations guys. -
There are other threads that seem to indicate that it's a piece of junk. But from what it looks like to me, it seems to be like the X-Mod.
I don't know if the X-Mod has the X-fi chip in it.
But the express card version apparently doesn't have the X-fi chip for sure.
So I think of this add on option as an express card X-Mod.
XPS M1330 Creative Labs Express Sound Card worth it?
