I know that I've asked many of you guys how much battery life you guys get from your M1330, and whether or not the heat is an issue or not.
So, here's the thing: please only respond to this thread if you have the same specs, or very, very similiar specs:

    Intel Core 2 Duo T7500 (2.2ghz)
    3 GB Memory
160 GB 7200 RPM Hard Drive
128 MB NVIDIA Geforce 8400M GS
    Intel Next-Gen Wireless-N mini-card
    LED backlit display
    6 cell battery

If you have these exact specs, or very similiar ones, please respond to my questions (for conveniance's sake for the questions, the screen will be set at max brightness, and the only running applications will be surfing the internet, google talk or some other IM, and Microsoft Word. They don't all have to be running at the same time.)

    1) About how many hours/minutes can you get with the above configuration?

    2) From a personal point, is the heat produced by the M1330 with the above configuration uncomfortable if it is sitting on the lap?

    Thanks in advance!

It will probably be warm but thats about it.

P.S. I wouldn't put any laptop on your lap for extended periods of time it is bad for the huevos.

the m1330 is really lite and is great on the lap. And the heat is not an issue. Playing games with setting maxed out my laptop never gets hot. The palm wrest gets warm, which in my opinion is good. It's not hot enough to be uncomfortable, it's just the perfect temperature, keeps your hands warm and feels really nice.

As for battery life, i had the 2ghz (t7250 i think) processor and on my first m1330 (which would randomly overheat and shut down) i was able to get like 3-5 hours on a 6 cell battery (a06 bios). On my others i've only been able to get 2.5-4 hrs :(.

i have all similar specs except 1GB less RAM and the T7300 2GHz processor and the CCFL screen. The LED screen should give you better battery life, i heard by 20-30 minutes, but am not sure.

most of the time i run similar apps like you..mine lasted maximum 1.5 hours...prolly coz i have my wireless on and i do have itunes playing music in the background. when i play games, the batt dies off in 45 mins...i read from other forums that some have managed to clock better hours...anyway, mine is a problematic machine anyway, getting a replacement or maybe a diff brand.

my personal point of view, well its quite comfortable but not too long...perhaps 2 hours max i would go....

Ya, around the 2 hour mark seems to be the general concensus.
My original questions still stand, however, I would also like to ask if changing the processor to a 2.0ghz, and the memory to 2 GB would make any difference in 1) battery life 2) heat 3) weight. Thanks.
