FWIW, www.ideastorm.com has a proposal for Dell to offer a more powerful graphics chip than the Nivida 8400M. Here is the link if you want to vote on whether this is a good idea or not:

Although it specifies the GeForce 9500, and a better solution may be available, at least it draws the attention of Dell management to the demand for a higher grade of graphics capability for the XPS M1330 than is currently offered.

I'm guessing that the laptop would melt if Dell did that. Seriously, there are NO laptops of this size with a more powerful card...and I'm sure heat and power are why.
-
Didn't LG recently release a 13.3" laptop with an 8600m in it?...
Yes, they DID do it! http://www.engadget.com/2008/01/07/lgs-p300-u-13-3-inch-laptop-headed-for-the-states/
So why can't Dell put the new 9500 GPU in the m1330?... -
Zepto's 14" has a 8600gt. Tho it is a tad bigger its size is comparable.
-
i think the m1330 was made for portability...with the 8600gt wouldn't the battery life decrease because of a more powerful card?

I'd be interested to see what WXGA+ looks like on 13.3 inches of LED. I can't decide whether or not it would be usable until I see it first hand. With this in mind, when you review a WXGA+ screen at this size, please get some close-up comparisons between this and the standard WXGA guys. That would be greatly appreciated.
